Letters "z", and "Z" cannot be entered in text

OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (32-bit): 3.0.0, revision: 3543170

1) new score
2) create staff text
3) try to type "L", "z", or "Z"

Result: nothing happens. Presumably these are getting trapped as commands, but they don't seem to be doing anything (eg, Symbols palette does not appear while typing "z" in text).

L works here on MacOSX but z and Z don't.
