Probably related to #300855: Trying to add text to a vertical/horizontal frame after double click causes crash.

  1. Create a vertical frame with Title, Composer etc., say.
  2. Double-click on the frame.
  3. Now try to edit one of the text objects within the frame.
Result: If you double-click the text you can't get into edit mode. If you try to get into Edit mode using the right-click menu, the program will crash soon after.

True, this used to work, although it's arguable as to whether that was just a bug or not. Normally edit mode means you will edit that element specifically, not another, and you'd need to leave edit mode first (eg, press Esc or click empty space) if you want to. but if it's possible to reinstate the old behavior where it happened to also work to click a text, that would certainly be nice.
