Project
- Create any type of text element (in any score)
- Set "frame" to either "rectangle" or "circle"
- Under "highlight," set opacity to 100% (cursor disappears as opacity is increased)
Expected behavior: Cursor and highlighted characters in the text element should be visible
Actual Behavior: Cursor and highlighted elements are not visible (this makes it very difficult to place the cursor and know when anything is highlighted)
Version: 3.5.0.28537, OS: macOS 10.15
(It's worth noting that this issue is not present in 2.3.2; I believe this was introduced as early as the first 3.0 release).
Comments
Bug, and regression from 2.3.2, confirmed.
See the attached file. Double-click the text element.
Expected result: The element highlights and the cursor is visible within it.
Actual result: The element highlights but the cursor is invisible. Same result no matter what colour the highlight.

I think the cursor is at the bottom of the textbox (cursor's z-order is incorrect).
The cursor must always be in the top order of all elements.
Annoys me too.
