Other programs such as LibreOffice have a "Print Pdf" button on the toolbar as default. So, it seems reasonable for MuseScore to provide an "Export" button on the toolbar, or, at least, to enable this as an option for the user.

Workaround:
Using a PDF printer is not recommended at all, there are quite a few known problems with it
It would be no problem to put a button in the toolbar that opens up the export dialog, just like "File -> Export...". We would need an icon for it, though. I can probably create that, but are there any rules for icons in MU3? (Line width, baseline, etc.)
Let's better do such UI changes in MuseScore 4 only (see below too).
Export does have a menu entry, a mnemonic (Alt+F, Alt+E) and a shortcut (none set by default, but can get set, e.g. to Alt+E), that should be enough for now (and for 3.x)

Aside: Would it make sense to look at it for 3.x (since there is a workaround, and probably won’t be an official 3.6.3 / 3.7), or rather make sure that 4.x gets it?
Edited: you are too quick for me, but sentiments echoed.
