No play button on main page & no play panel

Since I updated OS, musescore is giving me this problem at least 3 different times. I have been mostly able to trouble shoot by rebooting system as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but, if there is a better fix, please tell me!!

If you aren't seeing the play button, then it sounds like you may have disabled the Playback Controls toolbar. Re-enable it from View / Toolbars.

Also...
In Edit > Prefernces... > Shortcuts -- be sure you haven't enabled a keyboard shortcut for "Toggle 'Playback Controls' toolbar".
