Play button doesn't work in edit mode (0.9.6 regression)

Steps to reproduce bug
1. Press "N" to begin note entry mode
2. Press the play button to start playback

Expected behavior: Playback should start like normal

Actual behavior: Play button appears depressed, but playback does not actually sound

MuseScore version: r. 2559 nightly
