Can't select measures to delete.
I mistakenly entered notes on a staff below where I meant to continue. I want to delete the empty measures. The only way that I could proceed was to select one measure at a time. Then it became impossible to select a measure to delete (with a blue box around the measure). There must be a way to select multiple measures to delete but I cannot find it.

What do you mean "it became impossible to select a measure to delete"? How did you you try, and what went wrong? What version of MuseScore, what OS? And can you attach the score you are having problems with?
Selection of ranges is done the same as in most other programs: click the first thing in the range, shift+click the last. or click one thing, shift + cursor keys to extend the selection. You can drag-select by holding shift while dragging.
In the future, it is best to use the forum for support questions. If it turns out there is a bug that others cna confirm, then it can be posted to the issue tracker.
