5 years later, there are still recurrent calls for better brushes in musescore: example : https://musescore.org/en/node/315148
meaning we dont have enough to do yet.
Thanks Jojo.
I have installed mdl as explained https://musescore.org/en/mdl https://musescore.org/en/node/273636
and then created a mdl score switching to MDL mode but actually did nt find any brush at all: I have tried the dozen of 'MDL_XXX' sounds (see screenshot).
Did I miss something ?

My impression is it should be present in the Brush kits, but as with all non-GM-standard sounds, it isn't totally clear how to access.
3 Brush sets are already supplied in the default FluidR3Mono soundfont and readily available from the mixer.
We have enough to do without chasing red herrings - please discuss feature requests in the forum first in future.

Better ones might be in MDL.
Or other soundfonts.
Thanks Jojo.
