Another composer sent me a score created in an older version of MuseScore (1.3 I believe) that our choir is going to be performing.
Everything is there, all the notes and text, it plays correctly, but there are a few serious display problems (see attachments). In several places there are notes, text, and barline objects that aren't aligned with the rest of the score, but rather plastered over their neighbors horrendously. Interestingly, if I switch to "continuous" display, it all displays as expected. Not so useful to me, but correct.

Attached are the file in question and 3 image captures of the problem spots.

to me it seems just a matter of layout, try:
Edit / Tools> Add / Remove Line Breaks, choose:Break lines every 2 Measures
(maybe it's just a question for the forum)
_______
or perhaps better: Ctrl + A> Layout / Reset Stretch

How do I reproduce the problem? If I load the score, it looks normal to me. Is there something in particular I need to do?

Anyhow, this score has some pretty extreme adjustments to measure width, so it wouldn't be surprising if those adjustments only work on the partricular version of MsueScorew and indeed the particular system it was created with. So the advice to reset stretch is definitely good, and then maybe reduce it score-wide one notch rather than the seven or more notches it is being reduced in some places.
