I have many issues with the text editor. I'm going to dump them all here.

When adding text to a measure with a note above the staff, having the text accomodate to be above the leisure lines automatically.

After clicking to add text, you should be taken straight to the text editor without having to click on the text itself. Nobody would just have "System Text" on their sheet music, so why do we have to go to extra steps to change it?

"Rit.," "accel.," or any other common command like that should either have a preset or be recognized and change playback accordingly.

When text is moved manually, the dots connecting it to the note disappear. This is especially annoying when moving text manually to make it visible behind leisure-lined notes.

Comments

It's best to discuss ideas on the forum first, both to find out if the feature already exists and to see if there already existin requests.

"System text" only displays when adding from the palette. When using either the Add menu or the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+T), you *are* automatically in edit mode.

There are already existing feature requests for the other points.

Also, if you are not aware, you can add any text you like to the palettes for easy re-use of your personal favorite markings. See the section on "Custom palette" in the Handbook.

The issue with the dotted line was just fixed a few days ago and will be in the next update.
