Currently a "0" in the hairpin "velocity change" field is confusing for the user because it suggests that the hairpin does not apply any velocity change along its span. However, it seems that "0" should actually be "auto" as the hairpin defaults to an end value based on the next available dynamic indication in the score.

Suggestion: There should be an "Auto" option for "Velocity change" as well as the ability to add numerical MIDI values; and "Auto" should be the default.

The problem there it to turn a numeric value of 0 to the Text "Auto" and still allow entering any numerical value.
A toolTip or "0 means automatic" might help instead?

It could work similarly to tempo, where there is a "follow text" setting (basically, "auto" by another name) that you need to turn off in order to access the numeric controls. A similar model could work for voltas, FWIW. Probably there's a better way to model these cases, but it would be nice to have a single clear method.
