I was experimenting with the part extraction features when MuseScore crashed. When I reopened MuseScore and said "yes" to restore session, I saw that my other scores came up, but the one I extracted the parts from auto-recovered as the part instead of the score the part was from.

Please gives steps to reproduce.
What version of MuseScore are you using? What operating system? (see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/how-report-bug-or-ask-support )
Using MuseScore 1.0 on Mac OS (Snow Leopard).
I was unable to make it reproduce the problem. What I originally did was I extracted a part, had a crash, and auto recovered to the extracted part. I'm not sure why it happened, nor why I can't get to happen again now.
Related: Do you get any information about crashes from Apple's "Program Quit Unexpectedly" dialogue? Something that I noticed under Mac OS, but not under Windows (IIRC) is that the Mac version reopens your session, but does not show the tabs of everything you have open until you close the top score or open something.
