I'm new to MuseScore, so I hope I'm reporting this in the right place!

I'm using today's version of MuseScore 3 with MacOS 10.12. I've been trying to re-order the parts by reversing Tenor and Alto in the attached score, using Edit / Instruments. I get the list in the required order but MS instantly disappears (crashes) when I click on OK.

Also -- possibly unrelated -- I've noticed that all the vocal parts are described as Treble Clef, although the tenor and bass parts use other clefs. Also, I've noticed that exiting the Instrument panel (without re-ordering the parts) sometimes results in clefs being inserted in bar one, just after the time signature. Deleting these clefs causes the original clef for that line to revert to a treble clef, even in the bass part.

Thanks!
SL

Type Performance Functional

So, from scratch:

1) New score for three voices, Soprano/Alto/Tenor (but two are enough)
Test file here: test hyphen system.mscz
2) Enter lyrics at the very end of a system (last note): syllable -> hyphen-> second syllable, so written on subsequent system
3) Press "I" -> Select any voice, let's say, last one, Tenor -> Up -> Ok
(same with any other instrument, Up or Down)

---> Crash

  • Note: no issue if toggling in Continuous View and changing order of instruments in the Dialog
