It seems perhaps you have defined those keys as shortcuts (in Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts) to do something else? Or those perhaps you are using some keyboard layout in which those numebrs require Shift or some other modifier to display, and "-" and "_" are on these same keys? What OS, what keybaord layout? And is this perhaps only an issue in lyrics, or is it all text?
Same bug for me. 6 and 8 are not working for all text I tried (lyrics, tempo and figured bass). I changed shortcuts, in vain. The only way I succeed was with a virtual keyboard but it's not very funny...
I am using windows 10.
Hope you'll can fix it. I was using an old version of finale and I am surprised by musescore's possibilities and the figured bass is a really cool option!
So you are going to fix it? If not please unassign yourself from the issue
There got to be more to it that just using MuseScore 2.0.3 on Windows 10, using a German (QWERTZ) keyboard layout, as I can enter any number I like into lyrics or tempo markings
Can't enter 6 & 8 as text into lyrics, tempo, figured bass
Are you by chance using a French AZERTY keyboard? Those do have - and _ on the same keys as 6 and 8, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout#AZERTY, so you'd need to press Shift+6 to get the 6, which in turm might conflict with some shortcut?
Do try Help / Revert to Factory Settings in case it is some custom shortcut you set up that is causing the problem. If the problem persists after the revert, then we'd need more information about your keyboard and you shortcut configuration.
