On a number of occasions I have come across a bug where I copy a single note and paste it in another stave (but in the same bar) and try pitch bend it up / down a semitone or an octave using the arrow keys, it causes a crash. I have spent 30 minutes trying to reproduce this, but haven't been able to (thus, using the new reporting system it'd be classified as 'Random'), but this bug has affected me several times whilst writing music for orchestra, having to change certain notes to other instruments.

Comments

It's happened in this score, when moving notes between Bassoon and Clarinet staves
If i remember correctly, it has happened when pasting a note onto a preexisting note of the same length (e.g. crotchet onto crotchet or 1/4 note onto 1/4 note for you Americans)
I'm afraid I don't have much more information than that

So, the problem is the remaining tie.
You can reproduce always on your score (excerpt attached) in measure 19, see excerpt.mscz
After copy-paste the E half note (bassoon) to Clarinet staff, you get:

By changing the pitch of the copied note, you get a crash.

  • To avoid this problem in the future, get care first, before changing pitch, to remove the "copied" tie
