Most programs that have something similar to 3.0's new "tour," rather than having a checkbox to disable it, instead have a (checked by default) checkbox to enable it. PR will be forthcoming almost instantaneously.

I've usually been unsuspectingly exposed to these help feature without needing to ask for it. I think it should be on by default, though I plan on turning it off as soon as I feel it no longer needs testing.

Yes, in my PR it remains on by default—only it will be because the "enable" box is checked, rather than because the "disable" box is unchecked.
