I play a regular drum set and use MuseScore to transcribe my music sheets for the song I play. In the Note Input, it would be very helpful if the program we allow users to assign more shortcuts when editing the "Drumset".

Currently you have A B C D E F G which is fine for those that write regular music score. However having the use of more alphanumeric characters would be very helpful when writing drum scores. Having the ability to assign alphabetic or numeric shortcuts would give users the ability to create their own default note assignment.

For example, one could use S for snare, B for Bass, H for Hi-Hat, F for foot Hi-Hat, etc. In addition user could use numeric shortcuts to label different Toms such as, 1 Hi Tom, 2 for Mid Tom, 3 Low Tom, etc. This would make it easier and faster to recall and enter notes in the right place on the music sheet. The same could be use for any of the other percussion instruments. Each composer would set his/her own note defaults when editing in the Edit Drumset mode.

I hope you will give my comments some thought as it would make life much easier for us drummers.
Thank You!
