If I use the default soundfont MuseScore_General or MuseScore_General_Full, the pitch of Bright Grand Piano is two Halftones higher than the pitch of Grand Piano. If I choose another soundfont using the Synthesizer window e.g. FluidR3_GM, both pitches are identical. This also applies for other sounds e.g. Honky Donk.
Comments
There is no MuseScore_General_Full that would be part of MuseScoew 2.x or 3.0 (yet), so which soundfont exactly are you talking about?

I use the Debian Testing distribution. The packet 'musescore-general-soundfont' version 0.1.3-2, which seems to originate from musescore.org contains the file '/usr/share/sounds/sf3/MuseScore_General_Full.sf3'. Details are listed in the attached text file.
I'm sure @Christian Collins wants to hear about this issue
Yikes! What an embarrassing bug. My parameter optimization in v0.1.3 negated the need for the coarse tuning hack I was using on the bright, mellow and honky-tonk pianos, but I forgot to remove the hack. This will be fixed in the next version.
This bug is fixed in MuseScore_General version 0.1.4, available here. Please note that I have changed the bank assignments for the new ensemble strings. This affects all ensemble Violas, Celli, and Basses presets. Any scores using these strings with version 0.1.3 will need to re-assign the presets in the mixer upon switching to 0.1.4. I apologize for the inconvenience. This was done to better accommodate future expansion, such as the upcoming "expressive" presets that support single-note cresc. and dim.
Features of this release:
* Fixes the following issues: #281732, #280907, #280904, and #272992.
* Improved the dynamic response of the acoustic pianos.
* Re-numbered ensemble strings bank numbers to make room for future expansion.
Let's mark it fixed once that new soundfont is integrated into MuseScore

Does it matter that the version of the SoundFont that introduced the bug (0.1.3) was never integrated into MuseScore either?
OK, convinced ;-)

I have just uploaded 0.1.4 (both Full and Lite) to Debian, so it will enter testing in a couple of days.
I’ve also updated my soundfont download for nōn-Debian users page with the new files.
