The attached MS file shows the issue. Cø (C half-diminished, C Eb Gb Bb) is interpreted as C Eb Gb (C diminished) instead. The workaround is to use Cø7 instead, which is not affected.

Without the seventh, does Cø have meaning (or does Jazz interpret it as Cø7)?
Similar discussion as in that other issue it seems
Technically, the 7 is considered optional, since it is already implied by the half-diminished symbol, and while I think it's a good idea to include it anyhow, probably we should be special-case this because at least some people do choose to omit the 7.
