Ok, I thought the had been connected with Nokia.
My Norwegian is a bit shaky ;-) maybe we could twist @Soerboe's arm to do it.
Or maybe we can solve it ore generally and for all language MuseScore supports, by adding the qt_*.ts to Transifex, presumably as a 3rd resource (musescore, instruments, qt)
Can we make a slimmed down version of qt_xx.ts which only includes the strings that MuseScore actually uses? Otherwise, we put a lot of stress on the translators for nothing.
I already though about that, but it might be quite hard to figure which we really need.
These strings are needed for stuff we use from Qt, so we won't find them in MuseScore's sources and can't grep for them in the DLLs we take from Qt, as that would include them all and more.
So far we know for sure only about 4 strings, from this and the prev. issue

Hmm, no qt_nb.ts at https://qt.gitorious.org/qt/qttranslations/source/f07ce90e96da1487a22fe…
Very weird knowing Qt originated from Norway.

Norway, not Finland? Anyway, we could.just take one we have and translate it ourself?
Oslo, Norway https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qt_Company#History
"we could.just take one we have and translate it ourself?"
Yes correct.

Qt 4 had this https://qt.gitorious.org/qt/qt/source/8ab1ad64620ff9d0453a326010d161ea6…
I'm adapting it to our needs. At least the buttons will be translated.
The qt_ files can probably be reduced a bit. At least by removing the Q3* context, also the Phonon context. Currently it's 1209 strings...
Removing Q3 and Phonon strings, we are at 1073 strings... Then we would need to cherry pick.

@lasconic: would you know about any magic method to ease that cherry picking?
@jojo check out SourceTree
How would that help identifying which Qt dialogs and other components MuseScore really uses that need and refer to those translations?
