At the current of the piece, I have a section using damper pedal. One series of notes causes the pedal line to go lower than the others, caused by the new feature of this version. However, the other lines connected to this section do not readjust. I try to manually change their height, but all of the lines end up moving as one. This may be an error in how I'm trying to change the height of the damper lines, but I think this is still something worth mentioning.

Ah, I thought I remembered something but didn't see this. My comment from the issue I filed: the easy fix is to simply disable autoplace for pedal lines. Not so sure it's as important for voltas? The more complete fix is to autoplace all such lines on the same system together, much as we do for lyrics.
Disabling autoplacement for pedal lines is not a good idea. I saw a lot of scores where pedal lines intersect notes and slurs. Aligning pedal lines shouldn't be harder than aligning voltas.
Sorry, didn't mean to imply aligning pedal lines would be harder than aligning voltas. My point is that aligning either via autoplace sounds harder than doing it by disabling autoplace, and that having pedal marking align (by either method) seems more important to me than having voltas align. So if we did decide to settle for disabling autoplace (which I agree is not ideal), I'd recommend doing it for pedal only. Obviously, the real fix would be better, just not sure how viable it is, and to me, no autoplace is better than the current situation, for pedal anyhow.
Isn't the issue with voltas fixed with #277691: Vertical position of two Volta brackets should be the same and #278480: Only adjacent volta brackets should have the same height already?
