This worked up to very recently, like in the 3rd Beta

Comments

That sounds strange, we use "Palette" as a context for translating tooltips while most of strings available for translation have other contexts (for example, "lines"). Some strings happen to have correct context (like barlines or diminuendo line) so they are translated correctly now. All the other strings would translate correctly only if hard-coded version of palettes is used (since they directly add translated strings to palettes), but as far as I know we load palettes from a file for a long time, probably longer than after the 3rd beta. Or did we change that only in the recent time?

Not sure about the translations of the master palette having worked in Beta 3 or before, I rarely use it, but in the basic and advanced workspace it did work

In the Beta 3.3 release the problem still exist, but somewhat inconsistent.

Examples:
Clefs, Keysignatures and Accidentals are not translated
Lines seem to be OK

However some of the translated texts do not match the entries in Tx

Fixed in branch master, commit 9f885bf1c5

_fix #280540, part 2: fix translation strings and contexts

  • change translation contexts
  • make initial cell names untranslated
  • fix typos in cell names resulting in them being untranslatable
  • translate fingering cells and text elements in workspaces_

Fixed in branch master, commit 0547111c75

_fix #280540, part 3: fix remaining palette tooltips translation

  • Added missing translation contexts for palette cells
  • Renamed palette cells in Basic and Advanced workspaces to match
    the translated strings
  • Actualized cells names in Ornaments palette in Advanced workspace
to match the actually displayed symbols_
